Trustee Terry Croft

My name is Terry Croft.  As a newly elected Trustee for the Charter Township of Genoa, I bring to the Board my experience with composing budgets, understanding of the functions of municipalities, experience with making difficult decisions, handling stressful situations and many years of public service and communication.

I was born and raised on our family farm located in the nearby community of Wixom, Michigan.  Being raised on a farm taught me respect, dedication, patience, responsibility and sacrifice.  I also learned the importance of organization, planning, budgeting and team work. ​

During my 25 years of Fire Service I had the opportunity to utilize and improve these qualities. l retired from the Walled Lake Fire Department in 2000.

Rita and I were married in 1983.  We moved to Genoa Township in 1993 after selling the farm in Wixom. Together we have 5 children, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, most of who live in Livingston County.
