Minutes:
A regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was called to order by Chairman Staley at 7:00 p.m. at the Genoa Township Hall. The following board members were present constituting a quorum for the transaction of business: Rick Staley, Paulette Skolarus, Barbara Figurski, Nancy Litogot and Jean Ledford. Also present were Township Manager Michael Archinal and ten persons in the audience.
Moved by Figurski, supported by Litogot, to approve the Agenda as presented. The motion carried unanimously.
00-04…A request by David Gaffka, vacant parcel at lot 22-23 Noble Avenue, Section 22, for a 20' rear variance and a 5' height variance to construct a new home.
A Call to the Public was made with the following response: Robert Zdziebko - The house to the east of this parcel has the same type of slope and they sit 30' back. Letters of objection were received from Robert & Carol Zdziebko, Mark R. Oles, Virginia Strobe, and Joseph & Patricia Bozyk. Moved by Skolarus, supported by Figurski, to table (at the petitioner's request) until the next regular meeting of the board to allow Mr. Gaffka to reconsider his petition. The motion carried unanimously.
00-05… A request by Michael Hall, 5712 Chippewa Drive, Section 03, for a 12' rear variance to place a new modular home.
A Call to the Public was made with no response. A letter of objection was received from Kenneth & Patricia Whitney. Moved by Ledford, supported by Litogot, to approve the variance of 12' to the rear of the property to allow the placement of the modular home. The hardship is determined to be the preservation of the existing trees and the location of the existing garage. The motion carried unanimously.
Administrative Business:
Moved by Figurski, supported by Ledford, to approve the minutes of the January 11, 2000 regular meeting of the board with the following corrections: Changing the date on page 2 in reference to the Minutes and adding the hardship to petition 00-02. The motion carried unanimously.
The regular meeting of the Zoning Board of Appeals was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
