4. Request for approval to enter into a lease agreement with T-Mobile for the placement of a cellular tower on the Oak Pointe Water Tower.
5. Public Hearing and Request for approval of the ordinance amending the Genoa Charter Township General Ordinance, Fire Prevention and Protection.
6. Request for approval of a construction proposal from Fonson Construction and an engineering services proposal from Tetra Tech to construct athletic fields and install a walking path on the Township Hall property.


MINUTES

Supervisor McCririe called the regular meeting of the Genoa Charter Township Board to order at 6:30 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was then said. The following persons were present constituting a quorum for the transaction of business: Gary McCririe, Paulette Skolarus, Robin Hunt, Todd Smith, Jean Ledford, Steve Wildman and Jim Mortensen. Also present were Township Manager Michael Archinal and two persons in the audience.
A Call to the Public was made with the following response: Debbie Mikula introduced herself as the new director of the Howell Parks and Recreation Authority.

Approval of Consent Agenda:
Moved by Mortensen, supported by Smith, to approve all items listed under the consent agenda. The motion carried unanimously.

Approval of Regular Agenda:
Moved by Smith, supported by Wildman, to approve for action all items listed under the regular agenda. The motion carried unanimously.

3. Presentation and acceptance of Financial Statements and Audit of Township Funds by Township Auditor Ken Palka (Pfeffer, Hanniford & Palka).

Moved by Ledford, supported by Smith, to accept the financial statements and audit of the Township funds as presented. The motion carried unanimously. An amendment to the Fund 264 was proposed. It was the consensus of the board to wait until the petitions were received from Char Ann before amending the budget.

4. Request for approval to enter into a lease agreement with T-Mobile for the placement of a cellular tower on the Oak Pointe Water Tower.


Moved by Smith, supported by Wildman, to authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to execute the lease with option, between T-Mobile and Central LLC and Genoa Charter Township, for the installation of cellular equipment on the Oak Pointe water tower located on Moret Court. The motion carried unanimously.

5. Public Hearing and Request for approval of the ordinance amending the Genoa Charter Township General Ordinance, Fire Prevention and Protection.

A call to the public was made with no response. Moved by Smith, supported by Ledford, to adopt Ordinance No. 070917 for Fire Prevention and Protection, with the following changes: The Charter Township of Genoa is Genoa Charter Township; The Genoa Township Building Department is Livingston County Building Department; Brighton Area Fire Department Board is Brighton Area Fire Authority; and other minor changes as discussed by the board. The motion carried unanimously.

6. Request for approval of a construction proposal from Fonson Construction and an engineering services proposal from Tetra Tech to construct athletic fields and install a paved walking path on the Township Hall property.

Moved by Ledford, supported by Smith, to approve the request with a total cost not to exceed $321,400.00. The motion carried unanimously.

Correspondence:
It was the consensus of the board to have the township engineers complete a study report on crack sealing and over-banding of township roads that would benefit and increase the longevity of township roads.

The public hearing and regular meeting of the Genoa Charter Township Board was adjourned at 7:00 p.m.
